STAR Testing: May 17, 18, & 21, 2012STAR testing for grades 9-11 will take place Thursday, May 17 through Monday, May 21. On Thursday, Friday and Monday students are to report immediately to their 4th period classroom at 8:00 a.m. There will be no zero period on the three days of STAR Testing. The schedule for the testing week can be found below and at www.sjhhs.orgunder “Quick Links.”
Students will receive a pamphlet on Tuesday, May 8 during tutorial listing their STAR scores for the past two years. You are encouraged to review the information with your child to determine an achievement goal for this year.
STAR Testing Schedule: Th. 5/17, Fri. 5/18, Mon. 5/21 Testing block, 8:00 – 11:50 Lunch, 11:50 – 12:25 Per. 2/1/5, 12:35 – 1:35 Per. 4/3/6, 1:45 – 2:45 SJHHS LINK CREWLink Crew is SJHHS new high school transition program that will be welcoming incoming Freshmen next school year and making them feel comfortable throughout the first year of their high school experience. Built on the belief that students can help students succeed, students from the Junior and Senior classes are trained to be Link Crew Leaders.
If you are a current Sophomore or Junior and want to make a difference in the lives of incoming Freshmen next school year, click here and apply to be a Link Crew Leader. As a Link Crew Leader, you will gain valuable leadership experience that will look impressive on college and job applications.
To learn more about Link Crew, click here and stop by one of the Link Crew informational meetings on Tuesday, May 22nd or Wednesday, May 23rd during lunch in the Food Court. 100 Link Crew Leaders from diverse backgrounds and interests are needed to reach all students.
